(Embedded System and Robotics : ESR)
1. Vision Statement
Embedded systems are integral parts of our daily life. Mobile phones, cars, notebooks, or even soda vending machines are only few examples of embedded systems. The application of embedded systems is pervasive and more often vital to human life.
The ESR strategic research group is concentrated on designing and applying embedded systems for specific applications, such as in robotics, power system management, telecommunication, biomedical equipment, and multi-media devices. The research ususally covers both the hardware and software aspects of the embedded system design.
Another area of research is in Integrated Circuit design and application. The area involves the design and fabrication of integrated circuits (IC) for certain applications, in both analog or digital domain.such as analog-to-digital converters and low-power multiplier designs.
